Name: Brian Country: United States State: Oklahoma Metro: Tulsa Gender: Male
Interests: Philosophy, religion, history, literature, German and Japanese culture. Jazz, rock, playing the bitchin' bass. I love nothing more than being with my friends and family, except having philosophical or theological discussions with random strangers. And coffee. I'd have to say i love coffee more than some of my friends.
Within philosophy, ethics and philosophy of religion are my favorite topics. My ethic is Selflessness. basically it is the Golden Rule coupled with Immanuel Kant's Categorical Imperative. People are inherantly selfish. We just choose whether we pursue short-term gratification, or long-term, which would include serving others. One term Dr. Mouracade (philosophy prof at OBU) brought to my attention was 'fluid ego boundaries.' If a person views their 'self' as including their family, friends, community, and even enemies, then that person would act to benefit everyone around them. Expertise: Well, i was a philosophy major, so naturally i'm great at BSing, pretending i know crap about everything, and feeling superior to you materialists. Occupation: Medical Industry: Medical
